In the early morning hours of August 27, 2021, a burst of gunfire shattered the late-summer quiet in the Inwood neighborhood of Manhattan. When the chaos subsided, 27-year-old Stephen Turner lay grievously wounded, a single gunshot to his chest proving to be fatal. The incident, which unfolded near the intersection of 10th Avenue and West 211th Street, also left another 27-year-old man with a gunshot wound to his hand.
