A Halloween evening in 2021 brought a tragic end to the life of David Yaw, a 31-year-old Black / African American man from Rochester, New York. On that night, Yaw was involved in an argument that escalated to fatal violence at the intersection of Dewey and Knickerbocker Avenues. The altercation concluded with Yaw being shot, and he succumbed to his injuries.
