In the Algiers neighborhood of New Orleans, on a Tuesday night, the life of 37-year-old Brock Roche was tragically cut short. On February 21, 2017, the male victim was fatally wounded by gunfire, his death marking the sixth homicide in that district for the year. The incident prompted concern among local residents and a promise from the New Orleans Police Department to increase patrols in the area, which had seen a rise in violent crime.
