James Arthur Bennett Jr., a 45-year-old Housing Authority of New Orleans (HANO) police officer, was shot and killed on May 24, 2015. Bennett was found in his patrol car, parked near a construction site on Erato Street. Authorities believe that he was ambushed while performing his routine duties.
