In the East Village of New York, a brazen daylight shooting on Thursday, September 1, 2022, claimed the life of 26-year-old Dillin Tolentino. The male victim had just exited an apartment building near Avenue C and East 12th Street around 1:30 p.m. when the fatal encounter unfolded. An attacker, reportedly riding a Citi Bike, approached Tolentino and shot him in the head. The incident occurred in a busy area, directly across from an elementary school and a playground.
