In the late hours of a Sunday evening in East Harlem, the life of 20-year-old Pond King was cut short by gunfire. On May 10, 2020, at approximately 11:03 p.m., police responded to a 911 call reporting a man shot on East 126th Street near Lexington Avenue. Upon arrival, officers discovered King unconscious and unresponsive, suffering from gunshot wounds to his torso and hip.
