On June 16, 2024, at approximately 11:41 PM, a tragic shooting occurred near the 207th Street subway station in Inwood, Manhattan. Three men were shot: James Michael, 44, was struck in the face and later pronounced dead at Harlem Hospital; Alejandro Ramirez, 45, was shot in the chest and died at NewYork-Presbyterian Allen Hospital; and a 37-year-old man was shot in the leg but survived.

The incident is believed to be linked to ongoing marijuana sales in the area.
