In the late afternoon of a September Sunday, a sense of tragedy befell a Brooklyn street. Anthony Pierre, a 29-year-old man, was walking along East 29th Street in the Flatbush neighborhood on September 11, 2022. At approximately 2:45 p.m., his life was abruptly cut short in a brazen ambush. An unknown individual crossed the street and opened fire, striking Pierre in the head and chest.
