Sergeant Clifton Rife II, a 34-year-old member of the Metropolitan Police Department in Washington, D.C., was tragically killed on June 2, 2004, in Oxon Hill, Maryland. At approximately 4:15 a.m., officers from the Prince George's County Police Department responded to the 5400 block of Livingston Terrace, where they found Sergeant Rife suffering from a gunshot wound.
