Raymond Scott Brown II, a 36-year-old male music producer known professionally as Scotty Beats, was fatally shot on October 13, 2006, in Bowie, Maryland. The incident occurred when Brown attempted to prevent the theft of his vehicle, which was being towed away by individuals intent on stealing its custom rims.
