In the late hours of a spring evening, the sound of gunfire shattered the night on Indian Head Highway in Oxon Hill, Maryland. A Prince George's County police officer on patrol heard the shots and witnessed two vehicles speeding away from the scene, heading towards Washington D.C. One of those vehicles carried 33-year-old Kareem Chenier Ware, a male resident of Waldorf, Maryland. The chase that ensued would end in tragedy.
