On the night of March 28, 2018, a fatal encounter in a parking garage in the Largo area of Upper Marlboro, Maryland, cut short the life of 39-year-old Omar Wright. Responding to reports of a shooting at approximately 11:05 p.m. in the 600 block of Harry S. Truman Drive, police officers discovered Wright suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The subsequent investigation into the death of the Largo man, identified as a male, led authorities to a suspect a
month later. On April 27, 2018, police arrested 50-year-old Price Grier of Glenarden. The investigation revealed that the shooting occurred during an argument between Grier and Wright. Grier was identified as the father of Wright's ex-girlfriend.
Following his arrest, Price Grier was charged with first-degree murder and other related offenses for the shooting death of Omar Wright. He was held in custody without bond.
