On a summer evening in 2017, the life of 25-year-old Jerelle Burnett of Temple Hills, Maryland, was cut short by gunfire. The fatal incident occurred on Wednesday, June 28, in Forestville, Maryland. Prince George's County Police Department officers responded to a report of a shooting on Pennsylvania Avenue at approximately 8 p.m.
