In December of 1979, the city of Madison, Wisconsin, was in the grip of a series of unsolved murders that had instilled a sense of fear within the community. It was during this unsettling time that 24-year-old Susan LeMahieu, a female with cognitive disabilities, vanished. Susan was a resident of Allen Hall, a facility designed to help mentally disabled individuals live with a degree of independence.
