Darryl Nicholas McCoy, a 19-year-old resident of Suitland, Maryland, was tragically shot to death on January 5, 2012. His body was discovered in a parking lot outside the Oakcrest Towers apartment complex on the 2000 block of Brooks Drive in District Heights. The incident occurred around 2:18 p.m., and McCoy was pronounced dead at the scene by Prince George’s County police. This marked the first homicide in the county for the year 2012.
