In the early hours of a Tuesday morning in District Heights, Maryland, the life of 29-year-old Traumone Lesesne was cut short by gun violence. On July 11, 2017, police responded to the 1500 block of Forest Park Drive shortly after 2:30 a.m. to find Lesesne suffering from a fatal gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Another man was also shot during the incident but sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
