In a tragic turn of events on the evening of June 13, 2015, a young life was cut short by violence. Eric Bernard Talbert Jr., a 22-year-old Black male from District Heights, Maryland, was fatally shot in the neighboring community of Forestville. The incident unfolded in the 7200 block of Donnell Place, where patrol officers discovered Talbert outside, suffering from a gunshot wound. Despite the efforts of first responders, he was pronounced dead at the scene.
