In the late hours of a Tuesday evening in Capitol Heights, Maryland, tragedy struck when 18-year-old Reginald Bernard Brown III was fatally wounded in a burst of gunfire. On May 12, 2015, Brown was one of five men shot in front of a home in the 4700 block of Pard Road. The young man, a resident of Southeast, D.C., was rushed to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. The other four victims of the shooting sustained injuries that were not considered life-threatening.
