In the spring of 2020, a welfare check on a quiet street in Capitol Heights, Maryland, led to the discovery of a fatal shooting. On the afternoon of Saturday, April 4th, officers from the Prince George's County Police Department were dispatched to the 800 block of Kayak Avenue. There, they found 31-year-old Solomon Brown outside, suffering from gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Brown was reportedly of no fixed address.
