Curtis Mark Jones Jr., a 28-year-old resident of Suitland, Maryland, tragically lost his life on December 3, 2019, in a fatal shooting incident that occurred in Seat Pleasant, near the Addison Road Metro Station. The incident took place inside a liquor store where Jones was involved in a confrontation with Nevonia Evans, a 22-year-old man from Washington, D.C. During the altercation, Evans allegedly shot Jones, resulting in his death.
