Ellsworth Wilson Mielke, a 33-year-old truck driver from Salt Lake City, Utah, went missing on August 25, 1947. On the day of his disappearance, Ellsworth had driven his truck to Tremonton and returned to Salt Lake City. He informed his employer that he was feeling ill and was advised to go home. However, he never arrived home and was never seen again.
