Douglas Perry Plummer, a 20-year-old man from Taylorsville, Utah, was last seen on January 17, 2001, in Salt Lake City. He was working at a sandwich shop downtown when he disappeared. At the time, Plummer was in the process of moving from one apartment to another after ending a relationship with his girlfriend. He did not drive due to blindness in his left eye, and relied on public transportation to get around.
Douglas had some distinguishing features, including very curly brown hair, acne scarring, and second toes that were longer than the rest of his toes. He wore eyeglasses, with a strong prescription for his legally blind eye. On the day of his disappearance, he was wearing baggy jeans, a t-shirt, and black boots. Despite extensive searches, he was never heard from again.
