Dommeir D. Deshields, a 21-year-old resident of Salisbury, Maryland, tragically lost his life on August 3, 2015. Deshields was shot multiple times around 11:30 a.m. near the intersection of Anne and Baker streets in Salisbury. He was walking down the street when an unknown assailant approached and opened fire. Despite being rushed to Peninsula Regional Medical Center, Deshields succumbed to his injuries later that day while undergoing surgery.
