In the late morning of August 3, 2015, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a Salisbury, Maryland neighborhood, leaving a young man's life tragically cut short. Dommeir D. Deshields, a 21-year-old Black / African American male, was walking near the intersection of Anne and Baker streets when he was approached by an assailant and shot multiple times at close range.
