On a Monday night in November 2016, the life of 28-year-old Karl Sellers Jr. of Cheverly, Maryland, was tragically cut short. At approximately 10:30 p.m. on November 14th, officers from the Bladensburg Police Department were called to an apartment building in the 5000 block of 57th Avenue for what was initially believed to be a medical emergency.
