In the winter of 2017, the life of 25-year-old Jermaine Roach, a Black male from Temple Hills, Maryland, was tragically cut short. On the afternoon of January 8th, gunshots rang out in the vicinity of Hill Park Drive and Dunlap Street. When officers from the Prince George's County Police Department arrived at the scene around 2:30 p.m., they discovered Roach suffering from multiple gunshot wounds. He was rushed to a nearby hospital, but his injuries proved to be fatal, and he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival.
The investigation into the homicide revealed that Roach had been shot several times just outside of his own home. Despite the efforts of detectives, the motive behind the shooting remained elusive, and no immediate suspects were identified. The case grew cold, leaving a family grieving and a community searching for answers.
In an effort to generate new leads, the Prince George's County Police Department offered a substantial reward of up to $25,000 for any information that would lead to an arrest and indictment in the case.
