Janessa Hartley, aged 56, was shot and killed on January 15, 2019, in the Sherwood Forest neighborhood of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was dropping off a friend after an evening out when a masked man approached her car and opened fire. The shooting occurred just a day before her 57th birthday, and Janessa was found dead in the driver's seat of her SUV.
