In the quiet Sherwood Forest neighborhood of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, the life of 56-year-old Janessa 'Nessa' Hartley was tragically cut short on the evening of January 15, 2019. A beloved mother and grandmother, she had recently retired from her job as a classroom assistant at a local preschool to dedicate more time to her cherished grandchildren. That night, she was doing a favor for a friend, dropping her off after an evening out. It was just one day before her 57th birthday.
