A beloved grandmother is shot in her car while parked in a friend's driveway
Janessa Hartley, aged 56, was shot and killed on January 15, 2019, in the Sherwood Forest neighborhood of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was dropping off a friend after an evening out when a masked man approached her car and opened fire. The shooting occurred just a day before her 57th birthday, and Janessa was found dead in the driver's seat of her SUV. Despite ongoing efforts by the Baton Rouge Police Department, her case remains unsolved, with no suspects identified.
