In the spring of 1999, the life of Hardee Moseley Schmidt, a 52-year-old Caucasian woman and avid runner from Baton Rouge, Louisiana, was horrifically cut short. On the morning of May 30th, she embarked on her regular jog through the Pollard Estates neighborhood, a routine that would tragically lead her into the path of a predator.
