On July 6, 2018, Andres Giovanni Perea, a 19-year-old resident of Greenbelt, Maryland, was tragically killed in a shooting incident. The shooting occurred around 5:30 p.m. in the 9100 block of Edmonston Terrace. When officers arrived at the scene, they found Perea suffering from a gunshot wound to the upper body. He was immediately transported to Prince George's Hospital Center, where he was pronounced dead.
