In the late spring of 2006, the life of a Louisville man was tragically cut short in an act of violence that remains unresolved. Kevin D. Carter, a 34-year-old Black male, was murdered on Sunday, May 21, 2006. The fatal incident occurred at 1300 Chestnut Street, a location that would become the center of a long-standing investigation.
