In the late morning of May 17, 2021, tragedy struck in Louisville's Southside neighborhood, forever altering the lives of a local family. On that Monday, at approximately 11:30 a.m., Louisville Metro Police Department officers were dispatched to the 100 block of Colonial Oaks Court following a report of a shooting. Upon their arrival, they discovered 52-year-old Michael Dorsey, a Black/African American male, suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
