In the late afternoon of October 8, 2018, a sense of unease shattered the residential calm of the 300 block of Highland Drive in Glen Burnie, Maryland. It was there, at approximately 3:57 p.m., that the life of 19-year-old Prateek Kumar was violently cut short. A male resident of Crownsville, Kumar was found by Anne Arundel County Police officers who were responding to reports of a shooting.
