On a late Friday afternoon in Glen Burnie, Maryland, the life of Darius Davon Matthews, a 29-year-old male, was brought to a sudden and violent end. The events of August 26, 2022, unfolded behind a liquor store on Crain Highway, where a dispute escalated to a fatal encounter. Earlier in the day, Matthews had been engaged in a verbal argument with an older man, an exchange that would tragically foreshadow the violence to come.
