On the night of October 21, 2021, a burst of gunfire shattered the quiet of a Glen Burnie, Maryland neighborhood, leaving a young man dead in the street. Gene Fayga Martin, a 26-year-old male, was discovered by Anne Arundel County Police officers lying in the roadway on Beach Road, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. Despite the immediate response and lifesaving efforts of the authorities who arrived around 9:55 p.m., Martin was pronounced dead at the scene.
