Gregg Alexander Presbury, a 27-year-old Maryland State Trooper, tragically lost his life on December 17, 1977, after being shot during a traffic stop in Glen Burnie, Maryland. On December 12, 1977, Trooper Presbury conducted a traffic stop on Route 3, near the intersection with Route 100. During the stop, he radioed for backup, but before assistance could arrive, he was shot four times with a .45 caliber handgun by the suspect.
