In the early hours of a Sunday morning in Cambridge, Maryland, the life of 21-year-old Khalil St Croxie Reid was tragically cut short. On October 25, 2020, shortly after midnight, the Cambridge Police Department responded to a report of shots fired in a parking lot in the 600 block of Chesapeake Court. Upon their arrival, they discovered a young male, later identified as Khalil St. Croxie Reid of Laurel, Delaware, lying in a grassy area of the parking lot with apparent gunshot wounds.
