In the evening hours of December 21, 2020, a tragic event unfolded on West Pratt Street in southwest Baltimore, forever altering the lives of two families. Forty-one-year-old Natalie Wright and another woman, 36-year-old Sherril Armstead, were shot and killed in what police have described as a double homicide. The incident occurred at approximately 9:33 p.m., where both women were discovered with fatal gunshot wounds and died at the scene.
The Baltimore Police Department launched an
investigation into the killings and soon released surveillance footage to the public in hopes of identifying a suspect. The footage showed a man of medium build wearing a black Orioles ball cap, a black 'Polo' zip-up hoodie, black jeans, and boots, armed with a handgun. In an effort to generate leads, authorities offered a reward of up to $4,000 for any information that would lead to the arrest and charging of the individual responsible for the deaths of Wright and Armstead.
Despite the release of the suspect's description and the monetary reward, the case has grown cold. To date, no arrests have been made, and no suspects have been publicly identified in connection with the murders of Natalie Wright and Sherril Armstead. The investigation officially remains ongoing as detectives continue to seek information from the public to bring closure to the families of the victims.
