On December 6, 2015, Miriah Barnes, a 27-year-old mother of four, was shot and killed in front of her children in Baltimore, Maryland. The incident occurred when Miriah and her children arrived home, and someone knocked on the door. The gunman shot Barnes multiple times, leaving her fatally wounded. Her children, who witnessed the tragedy, were unharmed physically but faced the traumatic aftermath of their mother’s violent death.
