On July 23, 2016, Eboni Thornton, a 26-year-old resident of Baltimore, Maryland, was shot and killed during a home invasion on North Carrollton Avenue. Reports indicate that two unknown suspects forced their way into the residence, resulting in a double shooting that left Thornton dead and another individual injured. The incident occurred early in the morning, with the suspects managing to flee before police arrived at the scene.
