In the early morning hours of August 20, 2023, the life of 26-year-old Kashay Tanae Davis, a Black female from Baltimore, Maryland, was irrevocably altered. In what her family would later describe as a tragic case of being in the wrong place at the wrong time, Kashay found herself in the 800 block of Guilford Avenue in the Mount Vernon neighborhood when gunfire erupted.
