On a late summer night in Baltimore, the sound of gunfire echoed through the South Hanover Street corridor, forever altering the course of many lives. It was August 20, 2021, when 35-year-old Shaketa Causey, a Black female, was tragically caught in a burst of violence that ended her life. Officers in the vicinity heard the shots and responded to the 3800 block of the street to find a grim scene.
