In the days leading up to Christmas, a tragedy unfolded in a small Baltimore deli that would leave a family and a community grieving. On December 22, 2019, Carmen Rodriguez, a 36-year-old mother of four, was working at her family's Kim's Deli and Grocery on North Kenwood Avenue. It was just before 5:30 p.m. when the normalcy of the evening was shattered by an act of violence that would claim her life.
