In the pre-dawn hours of December 16, 2021, Baltimore Police Officer Keona Holley, a 39-year-old mother of four, was ambushed while sitting in her marked patrol car during an overtime shift in the Curtis Bay neighborhood. The attack was sudden and brutal; she was shot multiple times, with two bullets striking the back of her head, causing catastrophic damage to her brain and neck.
