In the early morning hours of January 13, 2022, the quiet of a Greenbelt, Maryland neighborhood was shattered by the sound of gunfire. Responding to a report of gunshots in the 5800 block of Cherrywood Terrace, Greenbelt Police officers arrived to a grim scene. There, they discovered 23-year-old Justin Devaughn Mack, a Black male, suffering from a gunshot wound.
