In the late summer of 2014, the small town of Bishopville, South Carolina, was shaken by a swift and brutal cycle of violence that left two teenagers dead. One of them was 18-year-old Dontrell Fortune, a male resident of the town. His life was cut short on Saturday, September 27, 2014, in what authorities described as an act of retaliation. The events leading to his death began with a dispute over money, which tragically escalated to murder.
