On a Friday afternoon in Louisville, Kentucky, tragedy struck in the Portland neighborhood. On November 6, 2015, a shooting shattered the day's calm near the intersection of 26th and Main Streets shortly after 3 p.m. Responding to the report, Louisville Metro Police arrived at a scene that would soon become a homicide investigation. The victim, a 27-year-old Black / African American man named K.C. Young, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
