In the fall of 2015, in West Columbia, South Carolina, a young man's life was brought to an abrupt and violent end. On October 12th, the body of 23-year-old Jose Antonio 'Alex' Guerrero Cano was discovered by one of his roommates inside their shared home on Steele Drive. An autopsy would later reveal that he had sustained multiple gunshot wounds, with the fatal shot striking his heart. The news of his death sent ripples through his community, leaving behind a wife and two children.
