On September 15, 2024, a tragic shooting incident occurred in West Columbia, South Carolina, resulting in the death of 17-year-old Kashaan Damon Sims. The incident took place in the 900 block of Center Street, shortly after 3:30 AM. Sims, a resident of Columbia, was pronounced dead at the scene due to multiple gunshot wounds to the upper body.
