In the early morning hours of a Thursday in West Columbia, South Carolina, a dispute between two men took a fatal turn, leaving one man dead and the other facing a murder charge. The victim was Steven Lee Boone, a 41-year-old male. The events leading to his death on September 25, 2014, stemmed from a disagreement with his alleged accomplice, 36-year-old Anthony Wayne Jeffcoat.
