Elijah Chavez, a four-year-old boy from West Columbia, South Carolina, tragically died on January 1, 2017, in what authorities determined to be a murder-suicide. The incident also claimed the lives of his mother, Marissa Hope Reynoso, 26, his younger brother, Ezra Chavez, one, and his father, Jorge Luis Chavez, 25. The family was found dead in their home on Old Barnwell Road, each with apparent gunshot wounds.
