In the autumn of 2022, the life of a young man was tragically cut short in West Columbia, South Carolina. Devonte Jerone Craft, a 24-year-old Black male, was fatally shot on the afternoon of Monday, November 14, 2022. The incident occurred shortly after 1:30 p.m. at the Riverbank Retreat Apartments located on Comanchee Trail. First responders were dispatched to the scene where they discovered Craft's body.
